Mother ties her 4-year-old son to tree like a dog

(Scroll down for video) A mother was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child after tying her son to a tree.

22-year-old Mery Isabel Quinde-Castro of New York, was arrested after neighbors found her son alone outside his home.

Quinde-Castro of Spring Valley, was inside her home babysitting another child.

Quinde-Castro allegedly told police that her 4-year-old son was tied to the tree for 10 minutes on Monday, because he refused to come inside the apartment.

Neighbors noticed the boy alone and tied to a leash, which was attached to his backpack.

They called the police.

Police arrived at the scene and found the boy next to the tree. A photo of the boy showed him kneeling on the ground and he appeared to be playing with a smartphone.

“The child may have been kidnapped or harmed,” Spring Valley Police Detective Robert Bookstein said.

Quinde-Castro was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Nancy Acosta of Houston, died after her car crashed into oncoming traffic on Thursday afternoon. Acosta, a mother of three children, caught her husband Freddy with his mistress at home before the accident. According to the police investigation, Acosta followed the car of her husband and began to slide sideways while attempting to run him and his mistress off the road. She died at the scene. The driver of the other car was taken to a nearby hospital, and is said to be in critical condition. The husband and his mistress were not injured. Father chokes his son because he wanted to be free to marry another woman

Sapporo police said that they have arrested 31-year-old Tsubasa Suzuki, after being accused of trying to strangle his 9-year-old son in his car. According to the police investigation, Suzuki, a divorced father of one child, was waiting in his car for his son outside school on Monday afternoon. Around 3:00 p.m., the father persuaded his son (, who lives with his mother,) to get into his car. On the way home, Suzuki stopped the car on the side of the road and began choking his son. Luckily, the father had second thoughts and let his son go. The boy suffered minor injuries. During questioning, Suzuki told police that the child and his mother were obstacles for him to marry another woman and he wanted both out of the way.
