(Scroll down for video) Police in California, have arrested 3 robbers in a Lego ring theft operation.
Police in San Diego, broke up the criminal, responsible for stealing more than $100,000 in Lego.
Police have investigated the ring leaders for a while.
Although police believe that the Lego were being sold on the black market, they were unable to find any such online activity by the ringleaders.
The brazen thieves hit five different Toys ‘R’ Us stores in San Diego County over a period of several months, often hitting the same store on the same day.
Surveillance video showed the suspects leaving the store without paying for an overloaded shopping cart with Lego, before returning to the store with an empty wagon.
The thieves made off with shopping carts worth $4,000 at a time, police said.
Investigators arrested Juan Camacho, 26, and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Elizabeth Bojorquez, along with Liliana Marquez, 29. One suspect is still on the loose.
Police raided an apartment in Santee, in hopes to find the stolen merchandise.
“We found traces of what we are looking for, but not what we were hoping for,” Detective Eric Stafford said.
