Couple abandons their newborn baby at hospital after being born disfigured

Abandoned baby born with rare disorder

(Scroll down for video) A newborn baby was abandoned at a hospital in India, because she was born with a rare disorder, which left her disfigured, doctors said.

Now, officials of a hospital in Mumbai, have agreed to treat the 16-day-old baby who was born prematurely.

The baby is suffering from a rare medical condition that has restricted the size of her head to that of a 26-week-old fetus.

Charity organizations and individuals donated funds after learning that the girl’s parents, Mamata and Ajay Dode, have abandoned her at the hospital.

The baby was diagnosed with microcephaly. It is expected that the girl will experience problems with brain function as she grows older.

The girl also has a small hole in her heart. The mother is said to be suffering from postpartum depression. Since her birth, the girl has gained 1.5 ounces in weight and she is able to digest milk.

The girl is expected to live up to two years.

Nancy Acosta of Houston, died after her car crashed into oncoming traffic on Thursday afternoon. Father chokes his son because he wanted to be free to marry another woman

Sapporo police said that they have arrested 31-year-old Tsubasa Suzuki, after being accused of trying to strangle his 9-year-old son in his car. According to the police investigation, Suzuki, a divorced father of one child, was waiting in his car for his son outside school on Monday afternoon. Around 3:00 p.m., the father persuaded his son (, who lives with his mother,) to get into his car. On the way home, Suzuki stopped the car on the side of the road and began choking his son. Luckily, the father had second thoughts and let his son go. The boy suffered minor injuries.
